Limerick Chamber Celebrates Business Excellence at Annual Awards
The Limerick Chamber hosted its annual Regional Business Awards and President’s Dinner on November 14, 2025, at the Strand Hotel in Limerick City. The prestigious event drew over 400 attendees, including prominent business leaders and political figures, celebrating outstanding contributions to the local economy.
Among the significant winners, the BD Research Centre Ireland (RCI) received the Overall Business of the Year award, in addition to the Innovation & Digital Transformation Award, sponsored by Holmes LLP. This recognition highlights RCI’s commitment to innovation and its essential role in the region’s economic landscape. The awards reflect the diverse sectors thriving in Limerick, showcasing the strength and resilience of its business community.
The President’s Award was presented to Professor Vincent Cunnane, President of Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), in recognition of his transformative impact on education and industry collaboration in Limerick. His leadership has significantly enhanced the region’s educational framework, fostering a skilled workforce that meets the demands of modern industries.

– **Best Not-for-Profit Impact Award**: Our Lady of Lourdes Community Services Group, recognized for its contributions to community welfare and support.
– **Sustainability and Environmental Leadership Award**: Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Ireland, commended for its sustainable practices and commitment to environmental stewardship.
– **Customer Experience Excellence Award in Retail & Hospitality**: University Concert Hall, awarded for outstanding customer service in the arts sector.
– **Best Employer: People & Culture Excellence Award**: Cook Medical, acknowledged for fostering a positive workplace culture.
The event also recognized emerging talent, with Treaty Software winning the Best Emerging Business Award, highlighting the importance of innovation in driving local economic growth.
