SYS Financial Expands Portfolio with Acquisition of GTL Life and Pensions
SYS Financial, a financial advisory firm founded in Tipperary, has acquired the Portlaoise-based financial planning practice GTL Life and Pensions for an undisclosed amount. This acquisition is a significant step in SYS Financial’s growth strategy and will increase the firm’s total assets under management to over €680 million. SYS Financial aims to continue this momentum, with plans for additional acquisitions expected to elevate client assets under management to €1.3 billion within the next three months.
Founded in 2015 by former Tipperary hurling star Tony Delaney, SYS Financial provides a range of financial solutions tailored for employers, individuals, families, and private wealth clients. The firm operates from several offices located in Nenagh, Cork, Limerick, and Dublin.
GTL Life and Pensions has been a longstanding player in the financial planning sector, having been established in 1977 by the late John Lawlor. Currently, it is managed by his daughter, Emma Lawlor, who has expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition. The firm presently manages approximately €30 million in assets.
In a statement regarding the acquisition, Tony Delaney expressed his excitement: “We’re delighted to welcome GTL Life and Pensions into SYS Financial. This acquisition strengthens our presence in a key regional market and reinforces our ambition to be the leading provider of client-focused financial planning in Ireland.” He emphasized the firm’s commitment to expanding its reach across the country while delivering exceptional service to its clients.
Emma Lawlor echoed this sentiment, stating, “This is a very positive move for our clients. Joining SYS Financial represents a natural next step, and I’m looking forward to contributing to SYS Financial’s growth in the years ahead.”
As SYS Financial continues to pursue its expansion strategy, both firms are poised to benefit from enhanced resources and a broader client base. This acquisition marks a strategic advancement for SYS Financial, further embedding its presence in the Irish financial advisory landscape.
