The Importance of Cancer Screenings

Dr. Mahmoud’s third recommendation focused on the necessity of cancer screenings, particularly for colon and prostate cancers. He emphasized that men should not postpone these crucial health checks. “Stop saying I’ll deal with it later,” he advised. “Later’s undefeated. Get your physical.”

In Ireland, there are currently three national cancer screening programmes available, aiming to detect various types of cancer early. Additionally, Dr. Mahmoud highlighted that smokers should also undergo lung cancer screenings to ensure timely intervention.
