Charity Applications Now Open for 2026 North West 10k Race

Applications for charities to participate in the 2026 North West 10k are now open, as preparations ramp up for this anticipated fundraising event. Charitable organizations are encouraged to reach out to the event organizers, with the deadline for submissions set for January 9, 2026.

The North West 10k, scheduled for May 4, 2026, has a long history of supporting local charities. Over the past 28 years, the event has raised funds for a total of 41 different charities. Recently, the cumulative amount raised exceeded the significant milestone of €1 million, with the current total standing at €1,019,266.

Neil Martin, Chairperson of the North West 10k, emphasized the importance of timely applications from charities. He stated, “We are asking community organizations to make their applications now as the deadline of the 9th of January is not far away.” Martin noted that all funds raised during the event directly support charities within Donegal, providing a vital opportunity for these organizations to secure much-needed revenue.
