The first edition of Gallinagh’s work, published in 2015, was a resounding success, selling out quickly. The long-awaited second edition has already sparked considerable interest within the Finn Valley region and beyond. This edition, comprising 276 pages and 54 chapters, includes revised versions of the original content along with four new chapters that delve into various aspects of local history.

New Insights into Local History

The new chapters cover intriguing topics such as “Castles & Landlords in the Finn Valley,” “The Birth of the Twin Towns,” “Murders & Curiosities in the Finn Valley,” and “The Burning of Ballybofey.” These additions enrich the narrative, making it a vital resource for anyone interested in the area’s history.

Tony Gallinagh was born in Cappry, Ballybofey, in 1934. His lifelong passion for documenting history, memories, and local folklore has culminated in this extensive work.
